I’ve written before about the theme nights the Cardinals have on the schedule this year, and I now have the pleasure of telling you about two new theme nights. The first new theme night is in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Grant’s Farm (and if you’ve never been there, you’re missing a great place) and the second new theme night is is honor of Komen St. Louis. The second cause is close to my heart, since my mother passed away from metastatic breast cancer. Here’s all the information you’ll need for both theme nights:
ST. LOUIS, MO (April 14, 2014) – Today the St. Louis Cardinals announced the addition of Grant’s Farm Night and Komen Night to the robust 2014 Theme Ticket schedule.
On Wednesday, May 14th, the Cardinals will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Grant’s Farm – Anheuser Busch’s nationally recognized family attraction and St. Louis tradition – when the Cards take on the division rival Cubs. Each special Grant’s Farm Night ticket comes with a limited-edition Cardinals camel t-shirt for the event’s “Hump Day” festivities. Fans will even have the opportunity to see a variety of small animals and have their picture taken with a real camel or a Budweiser Clydesdale in Ford Plaza before the game. Former Cardinal Wally Moon will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Moon was named the National League Rookie of the Year in 1954, the same year Grant’s Farm opened.
After the Cardinals run the 2014 Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure® in June, they’re hosting a Komen Night at the Ballpark on Monday, July 7th. All fans who purchase the special Komen Night themed ticket will receive a limited edition St. Louis Cardinals Komen baseball cap. Plus, $5 of each ticket purchased will benefit Komen St. Louis to support the fight against breast cancer.
Tickets for both Theme Nights are on sale now at cardinals.com/theme. Fans interested in learning more about the Cardinals race team participating in the Race for the Cure® should visit cardinals.com/komen.
Theme Tickets are customized promotions that allow a select number of fans to celebrate a common interest while enjoying access to a unique promotional item and/or exclusive pre-game event. Targeted around different occupations, organizations, communities, celebrities and more, Theme Tickets let fans enjoy the game in a whole new way.
Grant’s Farm Night and Komen Night are just some of the many unique personalized Theme Ticket promotions planned for the 2014 season. Fans can learn more about Cardinals Theme Tickets at cardinals.com/theme.
The Cards start a long road trip tonight in Milwaukee. Since it’s probably colder there than here, the players should be thankful that Miller Field has a retractable roof. Lance Lynn is the starter tonight. The Cards need to stop the Brewers’ hot streak of 9 wins in a row.
